First Timers

I remember being pregnant with my first. Life was so easy, things were so simple. This past weekend I had the pleasure of doing maternity pictures for some first-time parents, Kelly and Craig.

These guys were SO easy going with their pictures. We did some of the pictures inside our house as child #1 was running around at Kelly's feet and then child #2 screamed his head off for no apparent reason. They just kind of went with it. It was great! When we went to the little trail in our subdivision they really opened up and it was as if I wasn't there at all. I love that! We got some really natural shots and those are definitely my favourite.

Thank you Kelly and Craig for this opportunity! You two will make amazing parents!! Can't wait to hear whether you have a little boy or a little girl. I'm thinking boy...but you know...it's 50/50. :)

Sugar and spice and everything nice...x 2!!

I truly believe that God won't give us more than we can handle and I believe this even more so when it comes to who He chooses to have multiples (twins, triplets, etc). It definitely takes a special person/couple to deal with the added stress, craziness and of course double the poopie diapers!

When our neighbour, Jen, told me that she was pregnant with baby #2 I was THRILLED! And secretly hoped that she would have a girl because I knew that she was only planning on having two kids and had hoped to have one boy and one girl. When she told me that she was having twins I stood there in disbelief for a good minute. I honestly thought she was just joking around and I still don't know if I would believe her if it weren't for her sending me a copy of the ultrasound. She just looks way too good to be having twins!

Jen is such a great friend and I'm so happy that God has placed her in my life. We have prayed for those little girls since the night that we found out Jen was pregnant. Even my little girl, Leah, has prayed for them (which has prompted pretty funny statements like...'Mommy, I want 2 brothers or 2 sisters like Nate'). It's so incredible to see the little things that God has done already. I can't wait to meet these precious little miracles!

Thanks again Jen, Jeff and Nate for allowing me to do these pictures for you!
